The 7 Fees Every Agent Should Know

Commission Split

The percentage your brokerage keeps from every deal. Ranges from 0% (100% plans) to 50%.

Range: 0% – 50%

Annual Cap

The maximum you pay in splits per year. Once you hit it, you close at 100%. Ranges from $5,000 (LPT) to $36,000 (some KW offices).

Transaction Fee

A flat per-deal processing fee. Typically $50–$400. Charged on every closing.

Desk Fee

Monthly fee for office space/support. $0 at cloud brokerages, $50–$500/mo at brick-and-mortar.

Franchise Fee

Percentage of GCI paid to the parent franchise company. 3%–8% at franchise brands. $0 at independent/cloud brokerages.
